It is potentially 100 days since New Zealands last coronavirus case was acquired through community transmission.
This milestone would put New Zealand among just a handful of countries many much smaller and more remote than New Zealand to achieve such a feat.
Officials will announce at 1pm if any new cases have been confirmed on Sunday.
