EVERETT, Mass. —Encore Boston Harbor will officially reopen its doors to the public on Sunday, July 12, nearly four months after the casino closed its doors amid the worldwide coronavirus pandemic.
The Everett-based casino will look far different than what it looked like during the winter, a tour of the facility showed.
As part of Massachusetts’ Phase 3 reopening plan, casinos across the state will be allowed to reopen, following specific guidelines detailed by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
The 210,000 square-foot casino floor has been reconfigured to accommodate social distancing. Plexiglas has been set up at tables.
Face coverings are mandatory for all employees and guests, and will be provided complimentary, if needed, by the casino.
Hundreds of hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipe stations have been placed throughout the resort.
The casino also says thermal temperature scans will be taken at all guest and employee entrances.
When the casino reopens, table games, slot machines, electronic table games, video poker, high limit table games and high limit slot machines will be available to guests.
