CLEVELAND, Ohio Indians pitcher Zach Plesac got just enough help from his offense Friday against Detroit and took care of the rest himself in a 1-0 win over the Tigers at Comerica Park.
Plesac was brilliant, tying a career-high with 11 strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings and walking just one Detroit batter. After surrendering three home runs in his previous start at Minnesota, Plesac kept the Tigers off balance and rendered them helpless against his changeup in his second-longest outing of the season.
