MEMORY LANE: Since November 29, 1880, Manawat Standard journalists have reported every detail of life in our ever-growing city.
Though sometimes portrayed as incorrigible, hard-living, hard-bitten characters, in reality most working journalists were and are conscientious, outgoing and expert in their time-honoured profession.
Today, for the Standards 140th anniversary, past and present journalists share their memories.
